Bowl Show Rules

  1. Any PVAS Member in good standing may participate.
  2. All fish must be mature specimenes.
  3. Each participant may enter up to three (3) fishes per class per month.
  4. Only fish listed in the classes for that month are eligible.
  5. Fish must be displayed in a clear container with at least two flat sides to allow easy viewing by the judge(s). The container should be of an appropriate size for the fish being displayed. Covers are strongly recommended. Some containers will be available on a first come first serve basis.
  6. Only fish are permitted in the container. No plants, driftwood, rocks, sand/gravel or shells (except in the aquatic plants class).

Points

  1. Each participant will receive one (1) point for each fish entered in each class (up to 3 for each class). Plus:
  2. First place - 7 additional points
  3. Second place - 5 additional points
  4. Third place - 3 additional points
  5. Best in Show - 2 additional points

The Bowl Show runs from January to November. Winners will be announced at each meeting and published in the PVAS Newsletter.
Prizes will be awarded at the December Holiday Dinner. Prizes will be determined by sponsor donation.

Bowl Shows


The PVAS Bowl Show is a way of showing off your fish and aquatic invertebrates and plants at PVAS monthly meetings. Any member in good standing may participate. Prizes will be awarded at the December Holiday Dinner based on the year's standings. Click here for the year's schedule of classes.
