Mike Barber spoke about the PVAS trip to the Peruvian Amazon with a slide show. Ron Leftwich gave a show of his pictures.

They talked about the boat trip, getting to Peru, visiting the surrounding countryside and towns, and fish collecting in Peru.

There were pictures of the life aboard the vessel, of the food served on board and some sights seen from the boat. One highlight was putting candy in balloons and floating in the river for kids.

They also went to some fish exporters to get more fish specimens. It was interesting to note how the area floods during the rainy season and many areas get submerged.

Mike said the fish from the exporter will arrive shortly after the September meeting.
