Do Neocardinia shrimp eat Gammarus?

I just saw one of my orange neo shrimp swim up from the floor of the aquarium and across the top with a large gammarus. Who is eating whom?

Agreed on scuds not being a friend of other shrimplets. Could be that the shrimplets are preyed upon, or simply are unable to outcompete them for resources as scuds seem more prolific to me... My research has been limited and inconsistent, although personally I am leaning towards both and try to remove scuds from my shrimp tanks- excellent food for other tanks. Also agreed on neo shrimp voraciously eating anything dead or close, including scuds... Would imagine the opposite is also true.

What was the outcome? Who lived?
