Just heard about PVAS and checking it out

I'm Travis. I found out about PVAS while picking up some albino bristlenoses locally. I've been keeping fish for more than 30 years since I was a kid.

I got a bit more active with my fish this year and started restocking my 55 then decided a 125 would be nice.

After a few months delay I got my 'new' 125 set up. I found it locally for including the stands, hood, lights and three canister filters. I first got it mostly filled in June and got a couple filters running. Everything seemed ok. Since I was sleeping on my couch that night I shut off the filters after running them for several hours without issue. Internet forums came along, and I joined to learn as much as I could, along with purchasing many great books.

In 2007, I started back into the hobby, mostly interested in keeping native fish, with the goal of building my dream tank, one full of local Chesapeake Bay blennies in…

Welcome!

New to the DMV

Hi Everyone!

I’m Raymond. I’ve had fish since I was about 10 and have been active in the fish club scene in the Philly area most of that time. My family relocated to Bethesda in August along with my 15+/- aquariums. My interest are varied, but angelfish are my favorite. Plants are my second, and you will see me bring some every month for the auction. I’ve met a few of you and look forward to meeting the rest of you!
