Very excited this morning. I found a "baby"(about nickel size) silver dollar in one of my tanks. I have had the adults for about 6-7 years. They acted like they were spawning a number of times, but this is the first sign of success. Even though its's only one I am considering it a success. At least now I know I have at least one fertile pair in the group. They share the tank with a large group of cherry barbs and there are
always cherry barb fry in the tank. Sorry for the very bad picture. The glass is very dirty and the silver dollar kinda blends in with the background. Will try to get better pictures soon.
I see him! Amazing that he survived. It sounds like the Cherry Barbs have been enjoying a regular diet of caviar for sometime now. No wonder they're so productive.
