There's an interesting article in Amazonas online today about the use of black soldier fly larva in fish food. It mentions that Alan Repashy was one of the first to pursue the use of the larva. Not surprisingly, it is a key ingredient in some of the Repashy gel foods.

Archer Daniels to open huge plant for black soldier fly larva:
"The plant will produce 60,000 tonnes of animal feed protein annually from Hermetia Illucens, a highly nutritional type of fly, along with 20,000 tonnes of oils for poultry and swine rations and 400,000 tonnes of fertilizer, the companies said in a release."
