Hello all- The time has come for me to admit my tanks need to find new homes (life circumstances). I have a rack of 3 20's set up. 1 is a multi tank, the others are pretty random (cories, rice fish, all colors of bristlenose, 2 blue silver angels (one has an odd mouth- they were bought small to grow up and put in the 45. Now they have definitely outgrown the 20L, particularly the one with the normal mouth), random live bearers, inhle loaches, a Pseudomugil species-female or two, etc). Random easy plants- nothing terribly interesting. A 45 (?) hex waiting to be set up. My husband built a plywood stand, but never finished it for display. Random 10 and 2.5 gallon that I have running for no particular reason. A couple of shrimp tanks with a handful of non-interesting neo shrimp in them(haven't culled lately. One is a range of blue, the other has a few cherries. Also, have a bunch of cull shrimp in the random live bearer tank that breed at will and produce a variety of colors)- one shrimp tank is more of a scud breeding tank and needs a complete breakdown to address that issue if intended to house shrimp. Looking for someone to take it all and take it down. My energy is at zero. May keep the multis and one tank for shrimp. Not selling animals or parts individually at this point- no energy to deal with it. If you have interest, email me at brianna . yeager at gmail. My notifications never come through for whatever reason- user issue I'm sure! Hope you are all well! Miss you, fish peeps! Thanks, Bri

Hello! My tanks runneth over with a few things. Cull Shrimp - Neos. Mixed bag. Some/most striped, some brown, some low grade cherry, some black-ish, some dark and rili-ish. Even saw one the other day that looked like a snowball. Some of the striped have a green or orange hue in my tanks. If anyone is looking for a project, this is for you! Accidentally bought a pregnant blue dream, that produced striped shrimplets. Also, cull from the cherry tank. $0.50 each, min 12. Will not be hunting for specific shrimp. Whoever gets in the net goes. Variety of sizes. Assassin snails- $1 each. I have 5,000. Interestingly enough, they are producing in my very prolific cull tank. Multis- $5 each. Juveniles. Nope- can't determine sex. Scuds- $5/bag All kept in FCPS tap. Prime. Temp 77-ish. Haven't checked lately, but I try to keep the multi tank a bit warmer and the water may be a bit harder. I do not get notifications for whatever reason. Email me at brianna.yeager@gmail.com. Porch pick up Centreville only. Thanks! Bri

Hi all! Looking for pretty apistos. Not terribly picky on species, but something with color. Would like a pair or two (tank raised, or tank adapted) or 6-8 juveniles/fry. Anyone breeding them? Located in Centreville, VA. I don't drive far, so....local-ish, please! Thanks! Bri

In In The Tank
Hey Fish Friends! I came back from a 3 week vacation, followed directly by catch up and back to school madness, to find scud fest 2021 in one of my shrimp tanks. I had two shrimp populations in the tank (one caridina and one neo). They wiped out the caridina population (mostly- don't think they will come back) and brought even the neos down two about 1/3 of what they were (these will probably come back). Unfortunately, I have always had some scuds in this particular tank, but with regular removal to feed to other fish, they haven't really impacted the shrimp. Although, I am sure my tiger badis appreciated the hundreds I manually removed yesterday (the do look very pretty today, fingers crossed for babies), I am looking for a better way. Darn scuds have to go. At least from my shrimp tanks. Another issue is that there are shrimplets in the tank that appear to be from the caridina species that I would really like back, so I'm hesitant to introduce anything that would eat scuds as it would likely also take out my shrimplets. Help! Please! p.s. Scuds are great fish food. Have never looked into what particular species I have, but they produce like mad and everybody eats them. If anyone every feels like driving out to Centreville, VA to porch pick up a bag a dozen+, let me know! Would research prior to introducing to a tank with expensive plants or snails. Fish eat them before they bother mine, but I can't speak competently on the subject and have read a few articles that sound fishy. I have two unvaccinated children under the age of 12 (my husband and I are fully vaccinated) who are attending school. We prefer no-little outside masked contact.

Hello! Anyone local to NOVA (western Fairfax County preferable) have Ameca Splendens available and/or a 10-20 gallon set up (we need a stand too)? My son wishes to breed an endangered species (if you don't know me, I have tanks, he is almost 10 and will be heavily supervised/I take responsibility for ultimate care of the fish.) Not set on the species, but need something that will be fairly easily kept in a smaller tank (I want my son to be able to participate in some/most aspects of the fishes care and ideally, with proper cover, have some fry survive in the adult tank). I also want specimens that have been bred in captivity. Thanks all! E is very concerned about species of animals becoming extinct and this is a project near and dear to his heart!

Neolamprologus multifasciatus: I have all the multis. $5 each for juvies. Bri's Blue shrimp: I have this crazy situation resulting from shrimp that I bought as blue dreams. They throw a variety of interesting shrimp. ***I would not add these to a blue dream colony, again they are not breading true, some black, some clear, some look like rilis. Some even have orange-ish eyes. Some even look like wild Caridina, although they do not inbreed with the CRS they are kept with. It's pretty interesting to me and lead to a variety of breeding projects, but these would mess up a true blue dream colony*** These juvies are blue and pretty. $4 each. Cull Shrimp $1. Offspring from the above. Maybe a dozen. These are shrimp that are not being included in a breeding project. Mostly clear or clear and below grade black tiger-ish looking. Anomolachromis thomasi (I have five): 1.50 each Laetacara Araguaiae(purple smilers, I have maybe 4-6 that I am rehoming): $5 each Misc Easy Plants: hornwort, guppie grass, subwassertang, and a greenish type of rotala.

Hi there- Some of you may know I like my shrimp and I like my dwarf cichlids, which leads me to some shrimp only tanks (just doing small tanks right now, I have been successful with dwarf cichlids and shrimp in a 55. Doesn't work for me in a 20). Sooooo.....Planaria is not new to me. I usually manage planaria situations in small shrimp only tanks through daily manual removal. I returned from vacation to a planaria outbreak (yes, I am an over feeder. No, they were not over fed for the month we were gone, but the darn things reproduce like crazy). Generally, my neos can out breed these nasty buggers until I can get it under control, but my caridina cannot. Not a baby survives, and the adult population dwindles. Research is suggesting Panacur C (a common over the counter dog dewormer) as a shrimp safe immediate planaria (and hydra) killer (some risk to snails). Something not suggested when I did shrimp before. Anyone try this? Thoughts? Not concerned about plants. Not concerned about snails. Have also considered adding an australe pair...or some other fish that has ignored shrimp in my experience. Will probably buy a more expensive product recommended and used by a friend (SOBAKEN Genchem No Planaria Shrimp Safe Planaria Hydra Killer Shrimp Fish Planted Tank), but I am intrigued. Anyone up for discussion?

Hello- Sadly one of the tanks I was going to set back up is cracked. Going in the trash unless someone wants to pick it up today or tomorrow. Just the tank. Don't remember how many gallons (somewhere between 5 and 10). Slow leak. Free! Excuse the mid set up picture. Tank only. The other picture is the one I am attempting to set up today to give an idea of what the tank looks like.

Hi Friends! Subwassertang and I have a love hate relationship and we broke up today. A good sized clump is available for free if anyone would like to pick up in Centreville (near-ish to the movie theater). Bagged today (8/6). Will last a day or 2? Very easy. Great for shrimp tanks/fry cover if you are not a moss person. Thanks! ***Disclosure- my tanks contain duckweed/snails/shrimp/scuds***
