I have a snow ball pleco, geophagus jurapari, geophagus unknown Sp, ( these two are bonded ), several Molly's two pearl gourami, a goby. All eat flake food and are very peaceful with each other. All the plants have to go as well. You can reach me at docsteele@me.com. We are in Silver Spring MD

In In The Tank
This may be a very basic question, but does any one know of a black substrate/sand that is safe for corydoras and geophagus? I just purchased some dwarf acara's that need a darker substrate then the light brown sand I have to color up.

Would anyone like a colony of kribensis? The parents are stunning and have raised two batches of fry. I only have a community tank however, and they are too aggressive for the rest of my community when they have babies. There are also nine mature adults that would make a wonderful species tank. My ph is about 8, and they are still happy and breeding. We would love to see them go to a good home that would enjoy them as much as we have. I live in Silver Spring.

In Introduce Yourself
Hi, I am very excited to find this club. I grew up with salt water tanks (lived in Hawaii where is was very easy), and after a long hiatus my husband and I are entering the fresh water world. He is German and interested in aquascaping. We currently are cycling a 30 gallon fluval flex, we have a small house without a lot of aquarium space sadly. I know I like kribensis, and my husband would like to learn to grow plants. If anyone has suggestions of forgiving plants and fish while we learn the freshwater world we would love advice. Thanks, and nice to meet everyone!
