Hi all, I need to downsize my tanks due to health and time constraints. I am only keeping my small retirement tanks, and the breeding tanks are up for grabs. The two tanks are a 15 gallon with breeding guppies and breeding red cherry shrimp, and a 10 gallon holding tank with breeding multies that is getting quite crowded but has extra filtration. You will get the plants, hardscape, sponge filter, tank and substrate, so you can hit the ground running. I will bag up the fish and other items and the planted hardscape can be wrapped to keep moist. For pickup Bethesda area. Twenty dollars total for each tank. Please IM me if interested.

My guppies and multies are breeding like no tomorrow! I don’t want to start new tanks so if anyone would like some I am giving them away to good homes. Here are some tank pics ( from before the population explosion). If we time it right, I can also provide some rotala, water spangles and hornwort, since they overgrow fairly regularly. Please IM me if interested and we can arrange pickup ( prefereably in the Bethesda area).

Hi all, I am looking for some help sexing my pair of honey gourami. The more orange colored one with the dark ventrum is clearly a male, and the more yellow one was presumed female. Today however, I saw some circling behavior I had not seen before, and noted that the presumed female had some slight darkening ventrally. From my reading this only happens with males. Is this a male as well? Also does anyone know if nondominant males resemble females in terms of coloration? The bigger, definitely male fish is more dominant and I will need to return one to the fish store if the circling is sparring and if both are vying for dominance. Thanks for any advice you can give. These little fish have a lot more personality than what is indicated online. This one liked to suspend himself in the guppy grass During the day and looks like an astronaut at zero g… I suspect he is lying in wait for a tasty water flea to swim by. This one is the only one in the group who does this.

Looking for a single or pair of adult female honey gouramis to try with my male. The male is larger than average but aside from some sporadic chasing does not bother other fish, so I am hoping he will be ok with 1 or 2 adult females. Willing to pay or trade.

Ready to adoption in about 2 weeks to keepers with cycled tanks and species appropriate parameters- contactless pick up: Neolamprologus multifasciatus juveniles Blue panda guppy fry For trade: blue dream shrimp (looking for 1 or 2 adult female honey gourami that can stand up to a large male that chases sporadically and is a glutton, but otherwise non-aggressive). I’m willing to part with 5-10 from my colony). I have been lax in culling these lately and they still breed fairly true! I can also throw in some extra plants that are destined to be thrown out otherwise: Water spangles Hornwort Small amounts of guppy grass and frogbit See pics below and start a conversation with me if interested-because of my work schedule these will be available for pickup in late January (after the 21st).

Hi all, I have never encountered an issue like this, but wanted to let you know if you keep anchor catfish. I found one actually stuck in a piece of driftwood. He had gone missing for a few days which is not unusual, but when tank cleaning I found his body solidly wedged in a crack in my driftwood- he really would have had to work hard to get in there. Specifically, his spines were stuck and it took some effort to get him out! I was astounded since I had him and the others in his group almost 2 years without any issues. I removed some wood pieces and child- proofed the ones I kept for the remaining catfish by stuffing filter sponge and more plants into the cracks. I just wanted anyone else who keeps this species to know they can get into spaces I would never have imagined.

Hi all, Does anyone have submerged plants to sell or trade that are acclimated to hard, high pH water with a sand substrate (i.e. Shelldweller conditions)? I‘d love to add some to my shellie tank but so far very few have thrived there- even valisneria, java fern and anubias seems to have a hard time. I am hoping some acclimated plants will do better. Anyone interested please start a conversation with me to discuss. Thanks in advance

Hi all- does anyone have about 7 male endlers and/or smaller guppies (e.g. swordtail guppies) for sale or trade? I am down to one endler and 2 elderly swordtails in my 15 gallon, and want a few to kerp them company, but don't want to breed. I don’t care ai much about coloration type as long as they are healthy. I can trade multis, heterandria formosa, or a few blue dream shrimp. If anyone is interested, please start a conversation with me!

Free neolamprologus multifasciatus to a good home with a cycled tank (again)! I have about 8 fry that will be ready in a month or so. The catch is you must also take an adult male who is picking on a female. He is all show with the rest of the group but is pretty dominant and is one male too many for my 20 long. Please start a conversation with me if interested. I will start charging a small fee once everything reopens post-covid so get them free now if you want them! Thanks

I have a small colony of gold least killis that are not producing viable offspring. On the advice of a breeder and as a last ditch effort to improve vigor, I’d like to introduce a few wild type females (but not more than 2 or 3) into the tank. I am looking to purchase, or would consider a trade with an aquarist who has the knowledge and set up to care for the animal species I am willing to trade. I currently can offer a few blue dream neocaridina, red root floaters or frogbit. And while the current batch of multies are already spoken for, I have no doubt I will have more soon!
