Anyone know of anywhere to find something larger than the home depot play sand and smaller than pea gravel? I have a feeling a rockyard might have what im looking for, but any leads would be apreciated.

I'm debating on the various styles and number of hatching vessals and I could use some ideas, and pictures would be even better. My basement can be fairly cold and I dont particularly want to submerge bottles in a small tank with a heater. Ive also had hotter bulbs melt plastic in the past so id like to stay away from relying on a light based heat source. My current idea is to conservativly expect a 36 hour+ hatching time and wall mount 3 smart water bottles above a sink. I am debating whether to have the air intake come downward into the bottle or have it come up from the cap. Does anyone have a strong opinions about that?

The CARES site seems to be a bit broken at the moment. If anyone has any leads on where I could find this fish id apreciate it. There was at least one breeding population in the US as of 2014. This might be a tough ask but im sure someone here knows someone who might know. So if anyone is connected with the CARES cichlid people id apreciate some help. The Jordan Mouthbrooder is the only haplochromine cichlid whose natural range is not in the continent of Africa.

I know some of you collectors out there probably have a few lying around. Recently Ive found I enjoy fixing them up and not spending tons of money Ill pick them up, and depending on the number and level of destruction would be willing to pay.

I got home from the meeting and was excited to maybe order some more corydoras, because I had 3 male albinos. Though when I got home I found eggs for the first time in a year of owning them. It was a great coincidence after attending the great talk on cory behavior. Then about an hour later I was checking on my Toweri that I got at the auction and found that my heavilly planted tank is leaking and will most likely do so for the next 30 years.

Anyone have some extras? I'll be at the next meeting if you can bring them there. Im looking for 6+

Im very interested in getting involved with the CARES program. Im not very confident with egg layers yet, but I'd be interested in any CARES species on the smaller side.
