In In The Tank
Wednesday night, a newly homeless guy handed this fish off to the first person in Starbucks who would agree to take it. It had been outside a long time, so the water was icy cold and the fish looked completely dead. It moved (barely) when I touched it, so I agreed. The fish has patches of what looks like fungus on its fins. I only do saltwater and have not done FW for 15-20 years, so I don't know current treatments for FW fish. I would rather someone who can treat it would just take it, but if not, then I need someone to tell me how to cure it. If someone is willing to take it, I will give you the 2g tank it is in (I think the box said 2g, but it looks like 1.5 to me). The tank is one of those pico all-in-ones with a space in the back where plants are supposed to grow out of the top. I don't know where the rocks are that came with it for plants to grow roots in, but I'm sure something else could be used if you want to put plants in there. The tank came with a little pump in the bottom for very low flow; there isn't any mechanical filter, so I just put a mini filter cartridge (without the frame it goes over, since it wouldn't fit) into the back space. I can bring it tomorrow to whoever is willing to take it. Thank you.
