Musical fish breeding strategy:  I kept males and females separate for about a week, then put them in the same bare bottom tank with a sponge filter, a bolbitis plant., and several mops made of green acrylic yarn.    I left them for a week and then removed the parents with the hope that any uneaten eggs to develop into fry.  After a week or so I saw a few fry at the top of the tank.  I fed the fry small amounts of sera micron powder once or twice a day.  This floats on the surface for quite awhile and thus is a good choice for killifish fry.  I also fed baby brine shrimp every couple days.  I did not do any water changes until the fry were large enough to be easily moved to another tank with clean water.
