Comments and Additional Information:

The tank was set up on Sunday 27 FEB with scuds and ramshorn snails added that day and the next respectively, the pair of fish were added on Sunday 5 MAR, I believe they spawned on the 6th and/or the 7th as the female was found hiding (and I removed her) on the 8th. The male was removed after I discovered the first free-swimming fry along the surface of the water on Monday, 14 MAR. The fry were left in the breeding setup to grow out. I am guessing there are at least 15 fry growing out in the tank today that escaped becoming a meal for the male before I removed him, hopefully more.
