Shrimp Tank/Hydrogen Peroxide
My established 5.5 gallon tank has BB Algaein the sponge filer.. If I treat it with hydrogen peroxide,
(A) will it kill my biological
(B) will it harm my neocaradina shrimp?

For less risk, replace the sponge filter and treat the one with the black beard algae in a separate tank. I have been treating mine by using a water spray to remove as much external algae and debris from the sponge and then allowing it to dry for a couple weeks. I think the drying kills the algae.
Lately I have been trying scuds. Scuds eat most soft plants including black beard algae. So I put the sponge in my scud tank and let them eat for a week. The problem then is that if you don't do something to the sponge to get rid of the scuds such as drying the sponge, placing the sponge back in service will also transfer scuds to that tank. Scuds can overrun a shrimp tank.
