20 Gallon for a Betta
Want to setup a new 20 gallon tank for a betta. Also looking to get some live plants but with some much information out there a bit confused on what to get. I know I need a filter and heater but see so many different options. Also the heater has to be able to deal with the temp is the winter in the room is kept in the low 60's.
Yes also interested in tank mates to also be with the Betta.

The next meeting should be upcoming on the 7th, should double check though. You can get plenty of easy cheap plants in the auction and chat with members about betta. Tank mates often depend on the betta itself. Some of them are jerks, most of them are pretty mild. People keep them in community tanks all the time.
