Opal Rams . . . a project

Very short video here. This is an example of a strain of Mikrogeophagus Ramirezi that we are working towards developing through selective breeding. [In this tank, there are only 2x from this batch - the others are normal German Blue Rams from another spawn]. Our first generation "Opal Rams" is crossing out, and yielding some of these beauties. Will take time to develop, but promising. This is a female. Started with Gold + Electric Blue cross, yielding 1/2 Blue-Gold Opals, and 1/2 Gold-Blue Opals. Crossing back out the Gold-Blue + Gold-Blue, yields 100% Gold. Crossing the Blue-Gold + Blue-Gold yields a Punnett Square guess of at least 1/4 these, and 1/4 Electric Blue. This fish is about 3-4 months old. She will near breeding age in another 2x months.
