Happy New Year

Wishing everyone in PVAS a Happy New Year. It's hard to believe it's been a little over a year since I have seen any of you. The move to Florida didn't go anywhere near as smooth as planned. Problems started literally the second we were ready to hit the road. Our dog became very ill as we were loading the car. Had to rush him to the vet for surgery. This resulted in us spending a week in a hotel in Gaithersburg while he recovered enough to travel. Without going into the details, we also ended up having to stay in several temporary places in Florida. We finally bought a house a few months ago and I have been working on getting a permanent fish room set up. Since basements aren't a thing in Florida I am converting the garage for the fish. I should end up with about 25 tanks once it's done. It seems like every time I move the fish room shrinks in half. In Virginia I had around 100 tanks, Maryland about 50, now down to 25. With all of the delays I ended up loosing a lot of the fish I tried to bring with me. I'm hoping that in the spring when the weather warms up some of you might be able to help me replace a few things. I spread around a lot of Ataeniobius toweri. That's my number one thing to replace since I had collected the original stock myself. Also looking for Xenotoca eiseni and Ameca splendens collected by Miller. I put quite a few of both into auctions. That's a long enough post for now. I will try to post some pictures of the new fish room sometime in the near future.
