Federal Bill Now in Senate Would Severely Restrict Aquarium Hobby
Hi all, I wanted to make you aware of a rider on the COMPETES Act, H.R. 4521, which would amend the Lacey act and severely restrict our hobby as well as captive breeding/conservation efforts. There are many rumors flying around the internet that the Lacey Act Amendments were removed from the COMPETES Act language moving through the US Senate. That is not true. The language is buried in the middle of a several thousand page document where it's very hard to find. The language is still in there.
Each of us needs to act now.
